Amanda Pruitt

Powerhouse vocalist, mother, wife and one of the hardest working women in the music business, Amanda Pruitt, releases a new 6-song EP in June 2017. The EP, titled Strong, consists of four songs Amanda co-wrote with hit songwriters of Melody Roundup Music of Nashville and two songs Amanda personally picked. Recently moving from East Texas to Nashville, Amanda has overcome many obstacles and has worked her way up the ladder of the "5-year-town" in just a short five months. Working closely with the publishing company, Melody Roundup Music, and The Nashville Music Guide, Amanda is proving her ability one stage and one project at a time.

If the strong country roots of Tammy Wynette and Lucinda Williams, the soulful sounds of Janis Joplin and the modern flow of Carrie Underwood or Miranda Lambert could be melted together into one unified sound... you’d have a voice like Amanda's.  Her sound mixes classic and tradition country, rock, modern country, blues and even some good ole’ southern gospel.  In fact, Amanda released a 10-song record and music video, “Not Turning Back”, in the summer of 2016 and is a gospel project inspired by events of her own life. The album has done very well the past year and is currently up for several nominations. "Gospel music is where my heart and soul meet," said Amanda, "Without my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I would not be here and I HAVE to give him all the credit for everything I am doing."

Amanda had a rough start as a child, growing up in Louisiana. She does not recall any positive influences in her life, but she always had music to help with pain, hurt and abandonment. Many family members discouraged Amanda from getting in the business and told her she’d never make it. Amanda followed her heart and is still pursuing her dream of music and has recently been accepted to be one of the faces of Women of Music-Music of Women of Nashville. The organization has a mission of helping women in music and promoting their dreams. Amanda has released three professional country albums, (Let It Go, Read Between the Lines and Something Will Give) and one gospel album, (Not Turning Back). Amanda will be releasing her first 6-song-EP titled- Strong in June 2017 and is sponsored by Melody Roundup.

Amanda is not just a talented artist, but also an accomplished songwriter.  With a BS in Journalism and a minor in Performing Arts from Texas A&M-Commerce, she has the talent and skills to succeed in the music industry. Talent is not her only asset, her determination, strength and God-fearing spirit are propelling her to stardom. Amanda is an Alumni of Wentworth Military Academy and Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ. With God and her family as her focus, Amanda continues to travel and play shows as a solo act and with a band of seasoned musicians across Texas and Nashville.  Amanda has been nominated for several awards in both regions of music and is currently being nominated for songwriter of the year, music video of the year, female artist of the year, song of the year and new coming artist of the year with the East Texas Music Awards, The Texas Country Music Awards, The Ark-la-tex Music Awards, The Nashville Universe Awards, and The Tennessee Music Network Awards.
